The times were a changin'- this was not the most favorable time to be a large soul band. Or young and talented without a care of the evils of the world...but this one album remains. There was no follow-up. There could not have been. By this point the male lead singer and bass player were gone. Dissention. Accusations. And thus we have a one-song hit wonder in the making. But- what a song. Like some fevered echoed dream it disorients you. “Dreams” is the sh*t. Always was, always will be. You listen to those two youthful leads, perfectly singing this perfect soul song and you wonder why with all that talent...what happened?
